HRH
The Kids League was honoured by the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Charles to coincide with the 2007 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Kampala .
When HRH visited our offices the staff and the 20 boys and girls selected from all our Kampala based and rural district programmes from both the sister organisation Kampala Kids League and The Kids League. He was able to lift one of the then 5 Gothia Cup trophies which the KKL Euroteam had won!
Prince Charles also took penalties against one of the boys, much to the delight of the waiting press! In his first visit to Uganda, HRH unveiled a plaque at The Kids League offices to commemorate the visit.

In 2007, the achievements of its individual workers led to the Founder, Trevor Dudley, already an Ashoka Fellow for creating significant social change by his work, being awarded an MBE for his contribution to children and for promoting health and education messages through sport whilst co-founder Ann Dudley became an Alumni Laureate of Nottingham University for Special Excellence in Community Work in Sept 2009.
